Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) started Class XII Board Examination-2023 amid tight security at 100 examination centres establilshed in the urban and rural areas of Jabalpur district on Thursday. The students appeared for Hindi paper during first of the examination.
Assistant Director and Board Examination Incharge, RK Bandhan informed that a total of 23123 students registered to participate in the Class XII examination from 100 centres. A total of 48 centres are in urban while 52 centres are established in rural areas respectively. Out of total 14733 students registered in urban areas, 13848 attended their examination while 885 remained absent. Similarly, out of total 8390 students registered to appear in class XII Board Examination from rural centres, 8311 were present whereas 79 remained absent. He informed that to conduct the class XII exam in a fair way, the Board has rescheduled three papers.
According to the rescheduled time-table, Drawing and Designing exam was earlier scheduled for March 24, which is now scheduled for March 25. Sociology and Psychology paper were also scheduled for March 24. As per the new schedule, Sociology exam will be held on April 3 and Psychology exam will be held on April 5. The remaining all papers will be held as per the previous schedule. This year examinees will not receive any supplementary copies as they are getting 32 pages of answer sheet instead of 20 pages. Board has changed safety parameters of exam copies for four subjects in X and XII exams and used bar code to enhance safety level instead of conventional stickers in answer sheets. Board is set to use bar code in Science, Social Science, Maths and class XII First Language Hindi copies. Besides, in other subjects, the conventional sticker process will be used. There will be four set of question papers with same pattern. However, sequence of questions will remain changed in each set.
