Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Digvijay Singh, on Sunday lambasted the BJP for allegedly destroying the democratic values of the country. He said everybody has the right to speak against such policies. Talking to the mediapersons, he said Rahul Gandhi has spoken nothing against the country on foreign land. He questioned that whether Narendra Modi and BJP leaders used to speak well about Congress and PM Dr Manmohan Singh in foreign countries when Congress was in power at the Center.

Congratulating Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on his birthday, Singh said the CM cannot be blessed as he has not done anything for the welfare of MP. He makes fake promises. Earlier he had started Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Why he is not speaking about benefits given to beneficiaries under the scheme. Now, he has introduced Laldi Bahna Yojana.

Digvijay Singh said on one hand the BJP has promised to deposit Rs 1000 in the account of women while on the other it recently increased the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 50. He said Congress was providing the LPG cylinder in Rs 400 now its price has been increased to Rs 1,103.

He said the BJP has imposed tax on every commodity. It is giving Re 1 to people and taking Rs 5 from their pockets. He said the Congress will adopt the policy of Himachal Pradesh Government of providing Rs 1500 to people if comes to power in Madhya Pradesh. On Bharat Jodo Yatra, he said its forced BJP leaders to visit mosques and madarsa, which they never did in the past.
