Jabalpur police are on toes to maintain security and law and order arrangements following the Holi festival and Shab-e-Raat in the district. SHOs and beat in-charges of all the police stations have been strictly directed for keeping vigilant eye on organization of gambling for better enforcement of law and order arrangement. Besides this, special arrangements have been made for traffic management at busy market places.

Under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna separate police teams and a team of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) are keeping vigilant eye for checking organization of gambling and averting anti-social activities. BDDS team along with sniffer dogs are inspecting public places, markets, shopping malls etc to check security arrangements.

Besides this, police are monitoring traffic arrangements at busy market places for convenience of residents during the festival. Entry of heavy and commercial vehicles has been completely prohibited at busy market places while policemen have been deployed at entry points of markets. Separate parking arrangements have been made near market places for parking of cars and other vehicles during the festival. Residents have been appealed to co-operate the police in maintaining peace and law and order arrangements during Holi and Shab-e-Raat festivals.
