The long wait of students who appeared in class XII and class X CBSE examinations is over as Central Board of Secondary Education announced the results on Friday. The Board uploaded results on its official website cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.nic.in. However, due to slow server of CBSE website, parents and students were having trouble in viewing it. Bhopal region has recorded 83.54% pass percentage in the class 12 CBSE results. This is much lower than Trivandrum which recorded highest pass percentage of 99.91%, followed by Bengaluru’s 98.64%, Chennai’s 97.40% and Delhi’s west 93.4%. Overall, total of 87.33 percent students have passed and once again girl students outshined boys in class 12 results. It is being said that pass percentage of girls is 6% more than the boys. Pass percentage of boys is 84.67 % while passing percentage of girls stood at 90.68 %.
Meanwhile, 93.12% students have passed in class X of CBSE Board. The passing percentage of girls was 94.25% as against 92.72% boys. Means girls passed 1.98% more than boys. 1.95 lakh students have scored above 90% in 10th.
In Bhopal region, Priyanka Gupta of International Public school scored 98.6% in CBSE class 12th exam whereas Prateek Gupta secured 97.6% whereas in class 10 exam, Avni Bansal and Kritika Singh scored 97.6% and 97% respectively. Trivandrum region has topped with a pass percentage of 99.91%. Bangalore is second with 99.18%, Chennai third with 99.14%, Ajmer fourth with 97.27% and Pune fifth with 96.92%. Bhopal region has been at number 12 with 91.24%.
On the other hand, Sanskriti Gupta of St Joseph’s Co-Ed school topped from Commerce stream with 97.8% marks followed by Mahak Verma and Juhi Sharma who scored 96.8% and 96.6% in Commerce stream each. Saloni Khare scored 95.4% in Science stream whereas Maansi Tripathi got 95.4% in Humanities.School’s Class 10 toppers include Pradhi Bhatt, Shriyansh Akhit and Ayan Pandey. St Xavier’s toppers include Toshika Jain of class 12th scored 98.6% (PCM), Parul Kushwaha with 92.6% (PCB) and Sarthak Vuyas with 95% in Commerce stream.
CBSE XII examinations were held from February 15 to March 5. At the same time, the Class 10th examination was held in between February 5 and March 21. A total of 38,83,710 candidates appeared in the CBSE examinations. In this, 21,86,940 students were sitting in class 10th and 16,96,770 in class 12th respectively. Breaking the tradition, CBSE not announced the names of the board exam toppers for both Class 10 and 12 but students whose scores will fall under the top 0.1 percent of candidateson various subjects will receive a merit certificate, like the previous year. Notably, the decision has been taken to reduce the pressure and stress on students and to remove the culture of unhealthy competition.
