The Ashoka Garden Police have arrested the accused involved in loot with a collection agent of Bandhan Bank, six months after the incident. The cops reached the accused as they had a dispute over share of the looted booty and someone informed police. Police on Thursday said that the prime accused, Sonu Kataria (26) is husband of a woman who has taken loan from the bank and the victim Abhishek Yadav (24) would collect the installments from them. He had planned the loot as he was aware of the amount the agent carries in his bag, said police. He thus involved his brother-in-law Zubeir Khan and his friend Salamuddin.

SHO Umesh Singh Chouhan said that on day of incident, the accused were following Yadav on a two-wheeler. As he stopped near the electricity colony to attend natural call, they stabbed him before they snatched his bag and fled the scene, he said. The cop added that the accused Salamuddin (18) owned the two-wheeler and he had carried out the reccy of routes of the victim. The other accused Zubeir had stabbed the victim, said police. As Sonu’s wife, who is Zubeir’s sister, pays her monthly installments to the bank, he was aware of the cash, added the cop. Both planned the loot and used Slamuddin’s two-wheeler for the crime. They had fled and cops were clueless about them as victim had failed to explain them the model of the vehicle used for the crime, said police.

It was recently that Salamuddin had a dispute with Sonu and Zubeir as they had not shared with him the looted amount in fair manner. The dispute reached police and they came under the scanner of cops. The trio were identified and traced a few days ago, he said. They were arrested and police have recovered Rs 20,000 from their possession.
