May 21 Actor Amit Ghosh of Bhilai has made it to Bollywood industry and is currently busy in films, web series and television serials. Amit talks about the mental agony and the feeling of hopelessness he went through, while he was trying to make a career as an actor in the film industry, how things changed for him after his cameo role in in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo in 2010. Currently he is busy in his new venture ‘Neerja-Ek Nai Pehchan’ to be telecast soon in Colors TV.
 
Amit said since 2010, the process of appearing in Television started and he did 75 episodes in Crime Patrol, Savdhaan India 40 episodes, CID, and many more serials. It was in 2011 his first film Aarakshan, first scene, first shot with Amitabh Bachchan (most memorable moment), directed by Prakash Jha came. With veteran actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Deol, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana and others in the last 15 years, he has done a dozen films, web series, ads, serials and this process continues continuously. Amit considers acting in the film ‘Mujeeb’ directed by Shyam Benegal as his biggest achievement.
 
Acting under his direction made him meaningful as an actor. If an actor has conviction, confidence and common sense then he can become a better actor. Amit was born in Bhilai and he completed his early education in Bhilai and started his acting career with theater under the direction of Kaushal Upadhyay in Approach Theater Institute in Bhilai and also learned from professors of National School of Drama Akhilesh Khanna and Pankaj Saxena and Bhilai’s senior artist Shaktipad Chakraborty. Talking about his early days in Mumbai Amit told that in December 2007 he reached Mumbai in a friend house with some money and shelter for a few days. Then with the help of Dharmendra Ahirwar a friend from Bhilai, he got a volunteer job in Prithvi Theatre. The very first task was to do backstage in Naseeruddin Shah’s group. For 3 consecutive years, he went on doing backstage in almost all the big group plays n Prithvi Theater. Advising new generation actors Amit said that don’t tie yourself down, after a time, people impressed by your work will themselves be eager to give you a bigger role, just keep focus and patience.
