A number of senior Congress leaders and workers paid tributes to former Prime Minister, late. Rajiv Gandhi on his 32nd death anniversary, on Sunday. The Congressmen garlanded the statue of Gandhi, situated at Naudra Bridge. Speaking on the occasion, City Congress Committee President Jagat Bahadur Singh said late Rajiv Gandhi had seen the dream of 21st century India. He had laid the foundation stone of communication revolution, as a result of which our country is the first in the world. Later, other party leaders also spoke at length on the principles and deeds of late Gandhi. They said the former Prime Minister was a prudent leader. He had plans and clear vision for 21st century India. He is still remembered for Panchayti Raj, computer, communication revolution.
 
Terming Rajiv Gandhi a great man of learning, Congress leaders said due to his great acumen and unmatched qualities he was given Bharat Ratna. Congress leaders further said that Gandhi had devoted his life for the welfare of poor, farmers, laborers and youths. They urged party leaders and members to adopt the unmatched qualities and ideologies of former PM, Rajiv Gandhi for the progress of party and the country. Congress leaders said late. Rajiv Gandhi was a great man who would be remembered endlessly for his contributions.
