26 players to represent Sehore in Intl Karate Competition in Nepal

A ten-day long Karate camp by the Master of Tao Karate Association was organised in Sehore recently. On the last day of the camp, a total 26 players were selected for the upcoming International Karate Competition to be held in Nepal.
A total number of 26 players will represent Sehore in the upcoming International Karate Competition to be held in Nepal. Out of the 26 players who got selected, 23 are from the district headquarters and 3 are from Ashta block.
Giving information in this regard, the media in-charge of Master of Tao Karate Association, Priyanshu Dixit said that for the last twenty consecutive years, the team under the leadership of Karate coach Lakhan Thakur and Vimla Thakur is participating in the international event and the players from Sehore bring laurels every year.
Karate Coach Lakhan Thakur informed that the 14th International Karate Competition will be conducted in Nepal from May 26 to May 28. Apart from India, players from 23 other countries will also participate in the said competition. Last year the Sehore team had won a dozen medals. In this, Neetu Lodhi and Payal Waghwan made the city proud by winning gold. A ten-day special camp was organised for the team going to Nepal at Bajrang Colony, Indore Naka in the city. On this occasion Jitendra Tiwari was present as the chief guest.
