VEDANT Pande of Shivaji Science College became the probable city topper with 96.83 per cent in the Science stream of Maharashtra State Board HSC (Class 12) examination conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) here on Thursday. Vedant scored 198 marks in Computer Science, 100 in Mathematics, 90 in Physics, 96 in Chemistry and 97 marks in English. The probable city topper believes that hard work, consistency, and keeping yourself away from social media helped him to score this marks in the examination. “From the starting of session I kept myself away from social media. Initially it was difficult but then it helped me to focus in my studies,” said Vedant. “I never follow any time table before the examination but regular study and focus on study helped me to be on the top. I also solved sample papers which helped me to increase my writing speed,” claimed the probable city topper.
Vedant has already appeared in JEE Mains examination and now on June 4 he will give his JEE Advance. “My preparations for JEE Mains and Advance helped me to score this marks in HSC,” he added. Vedant is expecting good marks in JEE examinations and he is hopeful to get a top IIT on the basis of his marks in JEE. Vedant’s father Subhash Pande is a professor in Shivaji Science College and mother Shamli Pande is also a lecturer. His elder sister Ruchika is a Software Engineer. A former student of Narayana Vidyalaya, Vedant also performed well in Class 10 examination. He scored 97.6 per cent in SSC exam. Vedant participated in many competitions and Olympiads in school. He believes that his school teachers and parents helped him always in academics and the result in Class 12 is a outcome of that support.
