As a part countrywide press conference by a Central ministers in each state to mark completion of nine years of the Modi Government on May 29, State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conducted ‘Sanwad’ programme in State capital. Highlighting Modi Government’s pathbreaking initiatives in the direction of women empowerment, good governance, welfare schemes for farmers and marginliged sections, Union Minister Bhupendra Singh Yadav said that country has witnessed all-round development in last nine years and now India has become the fifth largest economy in the world.
Country’s digital payments ecosystem has radically transformed governance, financial inclusion and ease of living in the country. He said that Jan Dhan Yojana was launched in 2014 and around 32.74 crore Rupay cards were issued. It is world’s largest financial inclusion programme with around Rs 1.94 lakh crore deposits. Talking about the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ mission’s success, Yadav informed, that it was launched on 2019. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today more than half of the rural households have access to clean drinking water through taps. Till march 2023, there are 11.88 crore families have tap water facilities. While till 2019, only 3.23 crore families had access to tap water. More than 1.55 lakh villages, (25% of total number of villages), in India have so far reported ‘Har Ghar Jal’, i.e., every household in these villages has access to clean drinking water through taps at their household premises. In the current year from January to March 2023, one tap connection has been provided every second under Jal Jeevan Mission. This is a remarkable feat, wherein during the first three months of 2023, 86,894 new tap water connections have been provided every day, on an average. While interacting with media at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre. Environment Minister listed several measures taken by the Government in different sectors through presentation. on issues pertaining to renewable energy, Infrastructure development, steps taken by Government to uplift middle class families and remarkable achievements made in financial inclusion segments. He has said that centre has taken revolutionary steps for the welfare of poor and marginalised sections of the society. He also said the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi launched by the government has benefited over 11 core farmers in the country. Programme began with BJP State Head V D Sharma’s speech.
He said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership the country has taken a major stride globally. It is party workers whose relentless efforts have percolated welfare programmes and benefits to every household. Following Sharma’s speech, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan began his address with a prose saying “End of the deep dark night and dawn is impending (Mahanisha ka Aant Nikat...). Where he mentions Modi’s era as a new horizon of progress and prosperity for the people of this country. He recalled the moment when Prime Minister was talking to him over phone just before Rewa programme, CM said “Pradhanmantri Ji spared more than 15 minutes if he finds something worthy for the betterment of our people. He suggested how Government can convey the message of hazardous effects of chemicals and fertilisers through snippets or Nukkad kind programmes among mass.” CM has presented figures about progress made by the State in last nine years for women empowerment, expanding irrigation facilities, development of state and national highways etc.
