The Bhopal Police have arrested members of an inter-state gang involved in crimes like murder, loot and bank robberies. The cops reached held them while probing the attempted robbery incident reported at a gold loan company in Piplani in April. One of the accused was earlier arrested from Bihar while police were searching for other members of the gang who were involved in the incident. The accused were arrested from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan where they were planning a robbery. The five accused are members of a gang operated by notorious criminals Sunny Singh and Subodh Singh, who are lodged in a jail in Bihar. Police will soon seek remand of Subodh and Sunny.
According to the police, two of the accused Neetiraj (27) and Premraj Yadav (23) are MBA and engineering degree holders respectively and they would recruit financially unsound youth for their nexus. Police Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra on Monday said that the arrested accused including Shivam Kumar Singh (35), Shivshek Ranjan (24) and Vipin Kumar Shah (25) were involved in the attempted robbery. They came in contact with Sunny Singh and Shivam reached Bhopal before the incident to identify the target. Mishra said that the gang is involved in several cases of murder, loot and dacoity in other states.
They are on police remand and are being quizzed. The accused had stayed in Sehore and Vidisha and travelled mostly by bus. They carried fake identity cards and weapons. Now, the police are searching one of their associates Niyantak, who was guiding the accused from a jail in West Bengal. All the accused are criminals and they would target youths who needed money and they would brainwash them for crime, said the police. Police Commissioner has announces Rs 30,000 to the team that arrested these accused.
