We should stop infighting

“India has done best among other countries in the world in fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The country got G-20 Summit presidency for 2023. It has come up with a new grand Parliament building. The dreams which everyone has been seeing for the last 75 years are coming true. But there is a dark side to it -- the infighting. The nation is facing infighting over issues of languages, caste, religions, facilities etc. There are enemies outside our country. Instead of showing our strength to them, we are damaging ourselves. We should stop all the conflicts immediately and show the world that even in diversity we are one,” urged Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Dr Mohan Bhagwat.
Dr Bhagwat was speaking at the concluding function of the 3rd year Officers’ Training Course (OTC) of RSS, on Thursday at Reshimbag. Param Pujya Adrushya Kadsiddheshwar Swamiji of Shri Siddhagiri Sansthan Math, Kaneri, Kolhapur was the chief guest. Sarvadhikari of 3rd Year OTC Krishnamohan, Varga Karyawah Tippeswami, Vidarbha Prant Sanghchalak of RSS Ram Harkare and Mahanagar Sanghchalak Rajesh Loya were seated on the dais.
“In democracy, political parties struggle for power which is obvious. There would be many ideologies, many parties. Despite the power struggle, there should be a decorum. But to establish supremacy, nobody should instigate the conflicts within country. Political parties should work for the progress of the country. Such conflicts make people unhappy. Whom should we blame? Unity in diversity is our specialty. Ironically, today, we are fighting with each other on issues of caste, creed and religion. Foreigners invaded our country, divided us and left, but we are still under the influence of outsiders. Outsiders always want that we should keep fighting with our own countrymen. We are carrying the baggage of past. We agree, whatever our ancestors did was wrong. We can not change our ancestors, but we can change ourselves,” pointed out Dr Bhagwat.
“Negation will not work. We follow only ‘Dharma’ of humanity. We don’t say, Sangh is doing all things. But considering present situation where India is facing internal struggle, the society should unite, come forward and take steps to prevent the divide which hampers the nation’s growth. Youngsters are damaging themselves by spending their valuable time on mobile in a rampant manner. They are falling prey to the habit of abusing drug. All these things can be changed, if the society unites,” advised Dr Bhagwat.
“India has the tradition of rich culture and civilisation. Other countries took a leaf out of India’s book. The other countries learned so many things from it which we ignored. We should revisit our own assets. Once, we were the Guru of the world, and we still are. RSS is making us realise our own power, our own strength which is the need of the hour. Following other countries blindly should be stopped,” commented Adrushya Kadsiddheshwar Swamiji. “We should not forget our glorious past. Dr Hedgewar, who founded RSS, had seen a grand dream of taking India to a greater height. He had defined Sangh as the emancipation. According to him, Sangh means nationality, knowledge, constructive approach, positivism etc. Society, family can stay together through Sanskars, and RSS has capability to do that,” stated Kadsiddheshwar Swamiji. Admitting that he had learned new definition of growth from the OTC, Kadsiddheshwar Swamiji admired the quality of participants whom nothing could deter. Swamiji narrated a story where one participant of OTC lost his mother, but he stayed back to complete the training. “RSS Pracharaks are no less than Sanyasis,” said Swamiji.
