SSC: Nagpur hits rock bottom, Amt rises

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education declared the result of Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSC) on Friday. Just like in the HSC, girls have outshone boys this year too. Nagpur division, with a score of 92.5%, slipped to lower position as compared to last year. Amravati rose to 6th position by scoring 93.22%. Last year, Amravati was seventh with 96.81%, while Nagpur was at fourth with 97%. Total pass percentage for Maharashtra state is 93.83. Girls outshone boys by scoring 95.87% as against 92.05% scored by boys.
Konkan topped all divisions in the State with 98.11%. In Nagpur division, 1,51,354 students registered for the SSC examination, of which 1,49,702 appeared in the examination. Of these, 1,37,812 students passed. According to the Board rules, students who wish to apply for retotalling or revaluation, or those who want photocopies of answersheets, or those who want migration certificates, can get them on http://verification.mh-ssc.ac.in. Students can submit their applications through this websiteor through their schools. The conditions and rules for applying are given on the website.
For retotaling, students must apply between Saturday June 3 and Monday June 12, 2023; for answersheet photocopies, students must submit their applications between Saturday June 3 and Thursday June 22, 2023. Students need not go anywhere physically, the source added, as they could pay their fees for all these online. A student who wants to get revaluation done will have to first procure photocopies of the answersheet of that subject online through Board’s official website. They will apply for revaluation after five days of receipt of photocopies of answersheet. They will have to submit application to their divisional board online. The students after passing SSC, if feel dissatisfied with the marks will get the chance under Class Improvement Scheme. They can avail the facility twice. Failed students and those who want to apply under the Scheme have to submit their applications from June 7, 2023 online on the Board website. In State Nagpur division is at rock bottom with 92.05%. Konkan topped with 98.11%. The others those followed include Kolhapur 96.73%, Pune 95.64%, Mumbai 93.66%, Aurangabad 93.23%, Amravati 93.22, Latur 92.67%, Nashik 92.2%.
