“Women are marching ahead in all fields,” said Nita Choubey, National Vice President of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh while speaking on the slogan of this year’s International Women’s Day ‘Invest in women—accelerate progress’. The meeting was organised by Union Bank Staff Association affiliated to Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Ahilya Mandir, recently. Choubey further said that there is need to invest in women to accelerate progress of the society.
 
Women should have equal opportunities in society. As women have special abilities to be socially oriented. They can participate in the development of the society and nation from various levels. Mira Kadbe, Director of Narkeshari Prakashan, Archana Sovani, NOBW, State General Secretary of BHAMS Gajnan Gatlewar, Union Bank Staff Association Office Bearers Chandrakant Khanzode, Vidarbha Bank Employee Federation Organising Secretary Suresh Choudhary, Prabhakar Awasthi and Kishore Bapat were also present. Yashaswini moderated the programme. Smita Dabare proposed a vote of thanks. The programme concluded by giving gifts to the women employees.
