A lot of people are not aware of their status in voter list, they are not aware at which polling centre they should go and cast their vote. Leaders and officers are appealing to people to vote. To search their names in the voters’ list, people can visit https://voters.eci.gov.in/. If there is any problem, they can contact on the helpline number 1950 (toll free) or can log on to https://ceoelection.maharashtra.gov.in. On the website, one is required to upload aadhar card and passport size photo which should be kept ready by the voters on their gadgets. People who have not registered themselves for voting have a chance to become a voter.

 

Dr Vipin Itankar, District Collector said, “People start searching their names at the 11th hour. Since it is online, a lot of searches can affect the system which may hang the system. To avoid such inconvenience, people should search all the details early. If people support us, we can have more than 75% voting.” There are 20,34,077 voters in Ramtek while Nagpur has 21,99,528 voters. The administration is trying hard to get all voters to the polling centre to make them cast the vote. Many people heaved a sigh of relief as election for Ramtek and Nagpur is being held in the first phase. These areas some of the hottest during summers. Had the voting been conducted in the month of May, many people would have avoided moving out of home on the voting day. People from Nagpur and Ramtek will vote on April 19, 2024.
