Flanked by large number of supporters, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency Nitin Gadkari submitted his papers on the last day of filing nominations, on Wednesday. On way to file his papers, Gadkari led a massive roadshow from Samvidhan Square where thousands of leaders, workers participated. He garlanded the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar before start of the rally that later reached Akashvani Square. Nitin Gadkari submitted his nomination papers to District Collector and Returning Officer Dr Vipin Itankar. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Working President of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Praful Patel accompanied Gadkari. Earlier, all leaders, workers from all the constituent parties of Mahayuti gathered at Samvidhan Square. After paying tributes to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar the rally left for the Collectorate.
 
Raju Parve, Ramtek candidate of Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena also participated in the rally. The rally culminated at Akashvani Square. Prior to filing nomination, a public meeting was held where Devendra Fadnavis appealed to people to elect Nitin Gadkari with a record margin. Fadnavis called Gadkari as Commander-in-Chief of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be playing a major role in developing India. The work done by the Modi Government in the last 10 years is a trailer. A lot more needs to be done to make the country strong and developed, added Fadnavis. “In the next five years under the leadership of Modiji, we want to create a poverty-free, unemployment-free and egalitarian India. Prime Minister Modi has resolved to make India a developed country by 2047. The milestone will be planted in the next five years and for that, Modi should become the Prime Minister for the third time in a row,” stated Fadnavis.
 
Parve submits nomination
Raju Parve, the candidate of Mahayuti (Shinde-led Shiv Sena) submitted his nomination papers for Ramtek Lok Sabha constituency to Tushar Thombare, Additional Collector and Returning Officer for Ramtek. Parve was accompanied by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, NCP leader Praful Patel, State BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and others.
