“Sincere efforts have been made in the last ten years to make Nagpur world class in many fields like education, health, tourism, aviation, employment, logistics. By building better roads, flyovers, subways, steps were taken towards making the lives of common citizens more bearable. Now I need your blessings to receive record number of votes in the elections,” appealed Union Minister for Road Transport and candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party for Nagpur Lok Sabha Nitin Gadkari. A meeting was organised at Jawahar Hostel hall on behalf of the Teli community brothers. On this occasion MLA Krishna Khopde, Ramesh Girde, Dilip Tupkar, Nana Dhage, Ishwar Balbudhe etc. were present.

Nitin Gadkari was felicitated by various organisations and mandals. He said, “Nagpur has already started moving towards becoming education hub. Big educational institutes like Symbiosis, IIIT, IIM came here. Soon a famous educational institution called Narsee Monjee will come up. I believe that in the future, the youth of our city will not need to go to Mumbai-Pune for education. Along with this, Nagpur has started to be recognised as an aviation hub, a health hub. MIHAN was initially opposed by some people. But today 68,000 youths got employment in the same MIHAN and more employment is going to be created in the coming year.” Gadkari also said that employment generation was his priority. A platform was provided to the athletes through sports festival. He also emphasised that the people of Nagpur could experience the performance of world famous artists through the cultural festival.
