KASHISH Bhagat made her school proud by winning gold at the School National Athletics Championship. The championship was held at Patliputra Sports Complex in Kankarbagh, Patna recently. Bhagat, a student of Mahatma Gandhi High School and her team-mates Mansi Bhalekar, Bhumika Nehate, Mihika Surve secured a gold medal in 4x400 metre relay event in the Under-17 girls group. But in 800m run the city lass had to settle for fourth place. Bhagat was selected for the 800m run and 4x400m relay event based on her performance at the school state athletics competition held at Chandrapur.

 

Kashish was guided by sports teacher Ramchandra Wani. School Headmaster Dharmendra Parshivanikar expressed his happiness over Kashish’s achievement. Deputy Headmistress Dipali Kothe, sport teacher Sapna Kokate, Shubham Chaudhary, Preeti Dhamgaye, Kalpana Hivarale, Priya Dakhle, Madhavi Vande, Madhuri Pawar, Mangala Kathane, Deepika Natake, Ruchi Pandey, Reshakiran Athawale, Savita Tapre, Najuk Maiskar, Leena Nagpure, Suraj Krishnan, Sandhya Chaware, Madhuri Tajne, Prashant Neware, Moren Francis, Umesh Lonare, Sonali Sakharkar, Somendra Gautam, Shweta Thakur and others congratulated Kashish on her medal winning effort.
