FATHER and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar clinched double crowns by emerging champions in pairs and duplicate events organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association in their sports complex at Shankar Nagar. In duplicate event played on Sunday, competing in 40 deals contest, played across 5 rounds of 8 boards each, Playwell emerged victorious with 74.10 VP. Playwell consisted of Rewatkars pairing with their regular senior bridge partners S Chhajjed and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev.

 

Team Samadhan finished runners-up with 61.41 VP. Their team consisted of SK Patni, S Rai, A Karandikar, V Patki and A Nandanwar. Competing in 20 deals IMP pairs event played on Saturday, Rewatkars had emerged champions with 44 IMP. S Watwe and M Dutta duo walk away with second position by scoring 40 IMP. Amit Rewatkar was tournament director for this brain game.
