Cracking whip on listed criminals and anti-social elements during ‘Night Combing Operation’, police have nabbed total 255 absconding non-bailable warrantees in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. During the night combing, 2 to 3 teams from every police station led by SHOs and Sub Inspectors conducted a rigorous search for warrantees and absconding criminals. Police have apprehended 255 warrantees who were absconding since a long time. Besides this, police have apprehended three habitual criminal while violating the norms of their exiling period. Gohalpur police nabbed Sanjeev alias Sanjay alias Ashish Kesharwani (46), resident of Badhaiyya Mohalla, Chargavan police arrested Bahadur Patel (33), resident of Mehgavan and Patan police apprehended Chiku alias Ateek (30), a resident of Civil Lines in Patan. Police have registered separate cases against them under Section 188 of IPC and Section 14 of Madhya Pradesh State Security Act.
 
Similarly, police have arrested 21 accused and seized 109 litres country-made liquor, 160-quarters country-made/English liquor while six miscreants were apprehended with sharp edged weapon. It may be noted that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS) police have started night combing operation for apprehending warrantees and absconding criminals and to put-up vigilant check on illegal trade and transportation of liquor, trade of fire arms and gambling under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Sonakshi Saxena (IPS), Additional SP (Crime), Summer Verma, Additional SP (North/Traffic), Pradeep Kumar Shende, Additional SP (Rural), Suryakant Sharma, Sonali Dubey and CSPs. The special campaign will be continued in coming days for implementing preventive policing in the district and maintaining law and order arrangements in the district.
