Both Raut and her driver, Milind Dongre, sustained critical injuries and were trapped inside the car. Highway Police officials, led by API Sachin Selokar, PSI Bunde, rushed to the spot and aided in the extracting the injured from the vehicles. Raut and Dongre were rushed to a nearby private hospital in Kamptee, with Raut later being referred to a hospital in Nagpur due to the severity of her head injury.
