In a major strike against curbing burglary, Hanumanganj police personnel arrested three accused namely Vishal Bunkar (24), Tarun Dhakse (27) and Satish Kumar Doiya (30) over robbing an electronic shop at Lakshminarayan Market, Hamidia road. Items worth Rs 1.60 lakh were also seized by the police. As per the information by the police, on Tuesday, Suresh Adnani (60), a resident of Sunrise Colony, Idgah Hills, reported to the police that he operated an electronic shop at Hamidia Market. He said that on April 6 when he opened the locks of his shop, he found that some electric appliances including fans and wires were missing and alleged and demanded for Rs 7 lakhs extra as interest payment. When Jain refuted the sayings of Suraj Jogi, he behaved inappropriately with his family members and also used obscene language and threatened the victim to register a case under Section 420 against him.
 
He also forcibly took 4 blank cheques from the individual and asked the victim to deposit Rs 76,000 in his bank account monthly as interest payments. Taking the matter into cognizance, a case was registered under sections 384, 294 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and article 3 and 4 of Madhya Pradesh Protection of Debtors Act 1937 on the charges of extortion, using obscene language and intentional insult to provoke breach of the peace.Probing into the matter, a special team was constituted by the police to investigate the whereabouts of the accused. He was then arrested from his residence and while investigating, several registers, interest money, account books and blank cheques as told by the complainant were seized.
