TO INCREASE voters turnout during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a Run for Distinction has been organised to make Mission Distinction a success. The run, which will be held in different categories will be flagged off from Kasturchand Park on April 15 at 6 am. Collector and District Election Officer Dr Vipin Itankar reviewed the preparations in this regard at Bhatt Bhawan in the Collectorate and gave necessary instructions. On the occasion, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Saumya Sharma, Probationary Assistant Collector Kushal Jain, District Sports Officer Pallavi Dhatrak, NMC Sports Officer Piyush Ambulkar and other officials were present. This race will be organised in four categories — 2kms, 3kms, 5kms and 10kms. The race will start from Kasturchand Park and different routes have been fixed for the end of each race.
 
First 5000 participants will get T-shirts and those participating in 5kms and 10kms will get chest numbers from the organisers. In the 5kms and 10kms professional run, top 10 will get attractive prizes. Prizes will also be given to participants of 2 kms fun run. All the participants will get E-certificates. The T-shirts and chest numbers will be distributed on April 14 at Kasturchand Park from 4 to 8 pm, informs a media release. Prizes worth one lakh will be given to the winners of the run.
