SENSATION prevailed in MIDC area after a man, in his thirties, committed suicide after killing his live-in partner and their three-year-old son in a hotel room on Saturday evening. The news about the double murder spread like wildfire in nearby localities after the bodies were found in a room at Hotel near Gajanan Colony, Wanadongri, MIDC. The hotel staff found Sachin Vinodkumar Raut (31) hanging from the ceiling fan in the evening. Soon after receiving information from the hotel manager, staff from MIDC Police Station led by Senior Inspector Praveen Kale rushed to the spot. Cops forced open the door of Room No 103 and noticed Sachin hanging from the ceiling fan. His live-in partner Naznin (29) and son Yug (3) were also lying dead in the room. A hammer with blood stains was also found near the body. The woman’s body bore head injuries. However, no injuries were found on the boy’s body.

 

Prima facie, police said, Naznin was first hammered to death by Sachin. He then either poisoned his son or strangulated him to death before committing suicide. A truck cleaner, Sachin was staying at Bhim Nagar, Isasani. Naznin was a native of village Tiroda, Madhya Pradesh. Sachin was already married and had two children. He had an extra marital affair with Naznin and the couple was blessed with a male child. However, he did not divorce his wife Rukhmini but started living with Naznin. Later, Sachin started avoiding Naznin. He stopped visiting her house. Naznin got enraged and started quarrelling with Sachin. Finally, they decided to stay separately. On Friday, both signed a mutual agreement on a stamp paper of Rs 500 that they would stay separately. Cops have seized the stamp paper for investigation purposes.
