A number of senior leaders and workers of Bharatiya Janata Party, on Sunday paid tributes to Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of Indian Constitution and recipient of the Bharat Ratna, on the occasion of his birth anniversary. BJP leaders gathered at Tehsili Chowk and garlanded the statue of Dr Ambedkar. Addressing a huge gathering of party workers State PWD Minister, Rakesh Singh paid homage to Baba Saheb and said India is the world's largest democratic country and when the discussion of framing the constitution came up with the country's independence, Baba Saheb was appointed as the Chairman of Constitution Drafting Committee. He crafted a constitution that provides us with the rights of freedom, equality and fraternity.
 
He further stated that Baba Saheb was the architect of the country's constitution and when the Bharatiya Janata Party formed the government, they developed places associated with Dr. B R Ambedkar including his birthplace in Mhow, his educational domain in London with the Dr. Ambedkar Memorial, his cremation site in Mumbai and establishment of the National Memorial in Delhi. Singh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi linked these places associated with Baba Saheb as the "Panchteerth" (Five Holy Places). It was Prime Minister Modi who initiated the tradition of celebrating Baba Saheb's birth anniversary on April 14 at the world's largest forum, the United Nations.
