“It’s the Congres which altered the Constitution eighty times and are spreading misinformation about the BJP now. But the reality is that the constitution cannot be changed. The decision has been given in the Supreme Court in the Kesavanand Bharti case. The court has already clarified that the basic structure of the constitution cannot be disturbed. However, those who cannot be elected on the basis of work, are spreading misinformation to create confusion among the people, criticised Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Nagpur Lok Sabha Nitin Gadkari was speaking at a public meeting held at Mhalgi Nagar Chowk in South Nagpur.
 
Senior BJP leader and State Vice President Sanjay Bhende, MLA Mohan Mate, BJP city President Jitendra (Bunty) Kukde, Shiv Sena (Shinde group) leader Suraj Goje, Vidarbha Sanghatak Mangesh Kashikar, Nationalist Congress Party President Prashant Pawar, Working President Shrikant Shivankar and others were present on this occasion. “There is still a lot of work to be done in Nagpur city. A flyover will soon be constructed on the ring road. I am also trying to start electric trolley bus in this way,” Gadkari said.
 
Since Gadkari started his political life in 1980, more than 45,000 people have under gone heart operations. Prosthetic limbs were given to thousands of disabled people and medical help was provided. Conducted eye operations for senior citizens, provided hearing aids to those who needed them. “I never saw caste, creed and religion while extending help. I have never done caste politics,” pointed out Gadkari. Gadkari also emphasised that the beautification work of Taj Bagh has been done and the work of Deekshabhoomi has started.
