Khallari Congress MLA and former Parliamentary Secretary Dwarkadhish Yadav has strongly criticised Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for his disparaging remarks about the Yadav community. Speaking at a press conference held at the state Congress party office Rajiv Bhawan in Raipur, Dwarkadhish Yadav emphasised that as a holder of a constitutional position, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai should refrain from making derogatory statements, especially towards a community. He demanded a public apology from the Chief Minister to the Yadav community for his inappropriate remarks. During an election rally in Bilaspur Lok Sabha constituency, Chief Minister Sai referred to the Yadav community as ‘sticklers’ (Lathait), which has been perceived as a deliberate attempt to demean the entire community.

Yadavs are known for their dedication to cow protection and service, which forms a significant part of their livelihood. Yadav further asserted that labeling them as ‘sticklers’ for political motives is unjust and insensitive. He highlighted the simplicity of the Yadav community, emphasizing that their stick symbolizes their self-respect. Addressing Chief Minister Sai directly, Yadav reminded him of his responsibility as the head of the state’s 3.25 crore citizens, including the Yadav community. He urged the Chief Minister to exhibit respect towards all communities and religions, emphasizing that a leader should uphold the dignity of every individual.

Yadav criticized the BJP government, accusing it of resorting to divisive tactics reminiscent of the RSS, due to its lack of tangible achievements after a decade in power at the Centre. He denounced the malicious efforts to sow discord and deepen societal divides through personal attacks and castebased allegations. The press conference was attended by State Congress Media Chief Sushil Anand Shukla, State Congress Senior Spokespersons Dhananjay Singh Thakur, Surendra Verma, Shobha Yadav, Devendra Yadav, Spokesman Ajay Gangwani, and Amit Shrivastava.
