On the fourth day of filing nominations for the third phase of Lok Sabha polls in State, three candidates filed three sets of nominations papers on Monday. There were total 9 forms sold on Monday for the Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency. The process of filing nominations for the third phase of polls began on April 12 and so far 29 forms have been sold and four nominations have been filed. Last date of nomination is April 19. Three nomination filed by candidates on Monday includes Ram Prashad Patel, Ankita Rai and Dhanraj Shende. According to reports, two candidates reached the Collector office with coins worth Rs 24,000 and 25,000. This included coins of Re 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10 and Rs 20. It took several hours to count the money and due to the delay one of the contestants could not submit him nomination form. One of the candidates reached with his son and daughter carrying coins worth Rs 24,000 in five different sacks.
Sanjay Saroj candidate from Manav Samadhan Party reached at Collector office carrying five sacks of coins. He carried Rs 24,000 in denomination of Re 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10 and Rs 20 to purchase the nomination form.
 
He was accompanied by five people to carry the sacks. He submitted Rs 24,000 in coins and two Rs 500 notes. Taking to ‘The Hitavada’, Sanjay Saroj said, “I have collected this amount in four years. Apart from being National President of the party, I drive my auto, runs a tea shop and do a few other small businesses”. According to Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh, for filing nomination each candidate is allowed to enter with maximum three vehicles and four other people with him or her. Candidates are left with three days April 17, 18 and 19 for the nomination as April 16 is holiday. He said, each candidate can file maximum four nomination form along with affidavit. In the affidavit, candidate gives the detail of any criminal cases or other issues with him or her for voter’s knowledge. Sources said that BJP candidate Alok Sharma will be filing his nomination on April 18 in presence of the Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav. Nomination is continued from 11 am to 3 pm.
