SHREYAS Bahadure, a specially-abled swimmer of Aqua Sports Club brought laurels to the city and state by winning one gold and two bronze medals in National Special Olympics Bharat Swimming Competition held at Mandya, Karnataka. Representing Maharashtra, Shreyas won gold in 4x25 metres relay and bronze in 100 metres freestyle and 100 metres breaststroke events.
 
Earlier also Shreyas won several medals at State and national events and brought laurels to the city and state. He is a regular swimmer of Aqua Sports Club taking swimming training under the able guidance of senior coach Dr Pravin Lamkhade (NSNIS, Patiala) and ASCA Level – 5 coach Vishal Chandurkar at NIT Swimming Pool North Ambazari Road. Aqua Sports Club President Mohan Nahatkar, Secretary Mangesh Gadre, Director of Midland Sports Prashant Ugemuge, Vice-President Operations, Midland Sports Preeti Lanjekar, Manager, Operations, Midland Sports Ashwin Janbandhu, his parents and Aqua Sports Club swimmers congratulated Shreyas and wished him luck for his future.
