Congress candidate Arun Srivastav filed his nomination on Tuesday. Besides Srivastav, on the fifth day of filing nominations for the third phase of Lok Sabha polls in State, seven candidates filed nominations papers on Tuesday. Thankfully, all the seven candidates Mudit Chaurasiya, Jaisingh Lodhi, Arun Kumar Srivastav, Balram Singh Tomar, Bharti Yadav, Mohammed Asraf and Babulal Sen came with regular money denominations as security deposit to the Collector office instead of carrying coins. A day before on April 15, three candidates filed three sets of nominations papers.
 
The process of filing nominations for the third phase of polls began on April 12 and so far 29 forms have been sold and 12 nominations have been filed. Last date of nomination is April 19. On the first and fourth day, many candidates reached for filing nomination with coins just to be in limelight. Sources said that for past few times, contestants are trying to come into limelight by carrying sacks of coins. However, it extend the working hours of officials at collector office as they have to count the money. Candidates are now left with two days April 18 and 19 for the nomination as April 17 is holiday. He said that each candidate can file maximum four nomination forms along with affidavit. In the affidavit, candidate gives the detail of any criminal cases or other issues with him or her for voter’s knowledge.
