A delegation of Vietnam conducted study tour of Kanha Tiger Reserve under the USAID Biodiversity Conservation Study Tour in India. The foreign delegation comprised of 42 members including Union Minister and Senior Officers along with Directors of National Parks and World Nature Fund Vietnam attended the programme. Main aim of the tour was to conduct study of forest management techniques, excellent conservation policies and transportation and rehabilitation of wildlife. On the occasion, Field Director, Kanha Tiger Reserve, SK Singh detailed about the forest management techniques and historic wildlife translocations in a meeting at Eco Training Centre, Khatia. Besides this, the foreign delegates were also informed about the significance of translocation of barking deer and their conservation, spotted deer translocation techniques. Along with this, discussion was held on rehabilitation of villages in national park areas and significance of wildlife corridor.
 
During the study tour, senior veterinarian, Dr Sandeep Agrawal, Field Biologist, Ajinkya Deshmukh informed the visitors about technical aspects of wildlife and its conservation. Field Director, SK Singh informed the delegates about significance of tiger re-wilding, forest and wildlife tourism. In concluding of the programme, delegates of Vietnam handed over the gratitude letter of Vietnam Government to Field Director, SK Singh exchanged the mementoes of Vietnam and Kanha Tiger Reserve. During the programme, Assistant Director, Banjar, Vidyabhushan Singh, Assistant Director, Sijora Mitendra and Field Officers of Kanha and Khatia were present.
