Playwell so used to taking the top perch in team duplicate events, once again proved themselves far better than the rest by emerging champions in HA Mulla memorial duplicate event organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association in their sports complex on Sunday. Competing from a field of nine teams from Vidarbha region, in 50 deals contest played across five rounds of 10 boards each, Playwell earned 71.53 VP and seized the top spot. Their team consisted of father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev.

 

Team Axis finished runners-up with 63.93 VP. Their team included A Das, M Hasabnis, L Madne and Mulla brothers Sajid and Ali. Samadhan consisting of S K Patni, M Hararwala, V Patki and A Nandanwar finished third by scoring 60.58 VP. In 26 deals IMP pairs event played on Saturday, S K Patni and A Das duo emerged winners. Kar and Hararwala duo finished runners up. Kulkarni and Pendse walk away with third position. Attractive cash prizes were awarded to all the winners. Anilkumar Mohota and Amit Rewatkar were the tournament directors for this brain game.
