On Wednesday, Chiatra Navratri and Ram Navami were celebrated with joy and devotion in the city. On ninth day of Navratri, various community feast, Kanya Bhoj organised across the city. As it was the first Ram Navami after consecration of Lord Rama at Ayodhya, devotees seemed to be soaked in devotion and at most of place, replica photos of Lord Rama in Ayodhya was presented. Devotees on the ninth day of Navratri, organised the Kanya Bhoj in which they worship nine girl in the form of Maa Goddess and seek blessing by touching their feet. On Wednesday , all temples in the city witness rush of devotes from morning to offer prasad and water to the Goddess Durga. The ninth day of Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Maa Siddhidatri. The word Siddhi means supernatural power and Dhatri means the awarder. Hence, Maa Siddhidatri is believed to be the giver of all divine aspirations. Maa Siddhidatri is depicted as being seated on a lotus or a lion. She has four arms and holds a conch shell, a mace, a lotus and a discus in each of these hands.
 
The Chaitra Navratri concluded with the onset of the Rama Navami . Various procession take placed in the city. On this occasion , in various temples organised Ramayan Path and special arti on Lord Rama’s birth . Raghubhanshi Samaj held procession from Jawahar Chowk in evening 5:30. Another procession taken by Parampara Dharmik Evam Samajik Sanstha Samiti from 5 in evening. In Kolar and Karnod, various processions were taken out. The ISKCON temple in Patel Nagar, organised Ramleela from 7:30 in the evening. The Khedapati Hanuman temple in the TT Nagar organised Sunderkand Path from 7 in morning, then they the idol of Lord Rama decorated with new clothes and jewellery and after 12 in noon they had Arti in Ram Darbar and Chunri Yatra took place in Sagar Royal Vilas Colony in Hoshangabad Road on Mahashtami.
 
Ayappa Mandir BHEL organised seven-day Paran Partishtha function in which they organised various events. It will conclude on April 23. During seven days, they will light 1,000 diyas. With various procession, community feast, puja and chanting of Ramayan, the Rama Navami celebrated peacefully and with joy in the city. Celebrations of Ram Navami Festival begin early in the morning with a prayer to the Sun. A special prayer is performed at midday when Lord Rama is believed to have been born. Some parts of Madhya Pradesh also organise processions to commemorate this event. The main attraction in these processions is a gaily-decorated chariot where four persons are seated who are dressed as Rama, his queen Sita, Rama’s brother Laxman and his disciple, Hanuman. Several other persons also accompany the chariot dressed as Lord Ram’s soldiers.
