In Jabalpur Parliamentary Constituency, voters came up to decide the fate of 19 candidates, including BJP candidate Ashish Dubey and Congress candidate, Dinesh Yadav, in the fray from Jabalpur Parliamentary constituency consisting of 08 Assembly segments. Voting process carried out in a peaceful manner amid tight security in all the eight Assembly segments of Jabalpur district. As per data released from the Election Commission of India, the voter turnout was 60.07 percent. Maximum voting was recorded at Sihora (102) assembly area where 65 percent voting was done. Similarly, 62.85% voting was registered at Bargi (96), 62.77% at Panagar (101), 59.10% at Jabalpur Cantt. (99), 53.75% at Jabalpur East (97), 58.12% at Jabalpur North (98), 59.67% at Jabalpur West (100) and 59.10% at Patan, respectively. In Jabalpur Parliamentary constituency, the total number of voters was 18,96,346 who were eligible to use their franchise to elect their new representative at Lok Sabha.
 
This included 9,63,065 males, 9,33,186 females and 95 third gender voters, respectively. Out of total 2139 polling centres, 491 centres were kept under critical category while remaining 1648 were enlisted in general category. In most of the seats of district, Congress and BJP candidates were in direct contest. Adequate security arrangements were made in the district for peaceful polling. Earlier Deputy District Election Officer and Joint Collector, Dhirendra Singh denied the rumour floated in social media that the EVM became out of function when the voting was still going on at polling centre 219. In most of the polling booths in rural areas, long queue of female voters were seen in the polling booths. Many female polling booths were set up in district where female poling team members conducted the election process.
