Congress candidate Arun Srivastav filed another set of nomination amid huge fanfare and show of strength on the last day of nomination submission for Bhopal Loksabha constituency. He was accompanied by State President Jitu Patwari, former Minister Deepak Joshi during the rally. According to affidavit filed with nomination, his wife is richer than him as she paid more tax than him in this financial year. Shrivastava has gold worth Rs 13,47,600 and silver worth Rs 1,26,250. His wife Pratibha Shrivastava has gold worth Rs 30,32,100 and silver worth Rs 2,56,100. Vehicles they are Bolero car and a tractor.
 
He owns house in Malviya Nagar and duplex in Vishnu High-tech, Ahmedpur. His first set of nomination was submitted in presence of former minister PC Sharma, second set with MLA Aarif Masood, third set with MLA Atif Akeel and fourth set was submitted with Congress leaders. Before leaving for the nomination, Arun Srivastav sought blessings of Goddess at “Karfeu Wali Mata” temple. Part workers of Shivsena group also participated the nomination rally of Congress where they displayed the posters of Bala Saheb Thakrey.
 
Aam Adami Party workers also participated the Congress rally. As the Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency is set to hold elections on May 7 (Phase 3), state capital will witness the electoral contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Alok Sharma and Congress’s Arun Shrivastav. Total value is Rs 83.82 lakh. His wife’s bank deposits and insurance policies are worth Rs 80.83 lakh. He paid tax of Rs 3.46 lakh on March 31, 2024 while his wife paid tax worth Rs 3.67 lakh. He owns 13.67-acre agriculture land while his wife owns 9.65-acre land. He has property including residential and agriculture worth Rs 6.08 crore while his wife has property including residential and agriculture Rs 6.51 crore.
