Nagpur District Athletics Association (NDAA) is organising Senior District Athletics Championship from April 24 at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharah Nagpur University’s synthetic athletics track, Ravi Nagar. The meet will be organised in association with Khelo India Training Centre. The district team for the State championship to be held in the city from May 23 will be selected during the meet. The events in the meet include 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 1500 m, 5,000 m, 10,000 m, 110, 110 m hurdles, 400 m hurdles, 3,000 m steeple chase, long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, pole vault, 20 km walking, 4x100 m, 4x400 m relay individual and mixed. Interested athletes have been asked to confirm their entries before April 19 by 6 pm. The entry fee will be Rs 250 per event and a registration fee of Rs 60 is compulsory from all.

 

The entry fees for relay will be Rs 800. The bibs to the participating athletes will be distributed on April 22 from 3 pm to 6 pm at the venue. An organising committtee has been form under the guidance of Dr Sanjay Choudhary. Other members are NDAA vice president Nagesh Sahare, international athlete Vaishali Fating, Dr Vibekanand Singh. Ramchandra Wani of Mahatma Gandhi English Medium School will be the convener. Archand Kottewar, Ganesh Wani are also committee members.
