BAJAJ, led by Puranik brothers Vishnu and Arun, Samir Roy, M Luley, R Saboo and M Dutta emerged champions in Summer Special Duplicate Tournament organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association in their sports complex at Shankar Nagar on Sunday. It was indeed a victory to cherish in 49 deals contest played across 7 rounds of 7 boards each, wherein their tally of 83.38 VP helped them secure top honours and winners purse. Just behind them were team Playwell, who finished runners-up by scoring 68.33 VP. Their performance came from efforts put on by S Chhajjed, Anilkumar Mohota, father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev.

 

In IMP Pairs event played on Saturday, Basuri and Sarode duo emerged victorious. Patni and Hararwala duo walked away with second position. In MP Pairs event played on Friday, Luley and Diwan clinched top honours. Sunanda Jakatdar and Gundawar finished runners-up. More than 50 players from Vidarbha region participated in the three-day event. Attractive cash prizes were awarded to all the winners. Anilkumar Mohota and Amit Rewatkar were the tournament directors for this brain game.
