He also said, “Number of candidates being selected from Madhya Pradesh is increasing. Earlier, for preparations most of the aspirants had to go to Delhi for coaching. Since last few years, things have changed in the State and candidates are clearing the exam with flying colours that indicates that facilities in the State are advancing. Addressing the candidates, Chief Minister Dr Yadav said, “Your selection should not be limited to your own progress instead it is important for you to contribute to the nation by working with high ideals, humanity and courage in the direction of good governance.”

On this occasion, along with candidates their family members and top officials from the State including Principal Secretary Chief Minister’s Office Raghavendra Kumar Singh, Commissioner and Principal Secretary Public Relations Sandeep Yadav, Secretary Chief Minister’s Office Bharat Yadav were also present. Commemorating our great leaders Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the CM said Netaji took Indian Civil Service examination and secured fourth rank. Dr Yadav added, “Four months before India attained independence, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Home Minister of the country and the great architect of political integration of the nation, spoke to the first batch of IAS officers at Metcalfe House, Delhi, encapsulating the vision of a civil service for independent India and laying the foundation for ‘Surajya’ or good governance. The Chief Minister said that today many public representatives are contributing their services to the nation, who were once in administrative services. UPSC exam results were declared recently. Out of 1,016 candidates, 31 candidates cracked UPSC exam this year and they hail from Madhya Pradesh. Of these, 27 were felicitated by the Chief Minister.
