Yet again, Madhya Pradesh is experiencing a shift in weather patterns due to the activation of a western disturbance. Following days of intense heat, the state is now witnessing cloudy skies and rainfall showers. On Monday, Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 34.9 degree Celsius and a minimum of 25 degree Celsius, marking a drop of 4 degrees within a day. In the afternoon, residents observed a game of hide and seek between the sun and clouds, accompanied by light showers. In Dhar, in afternoon, hailstorms lasted for 10 minutes.Other cities in the state also saw varying temperatures. Gwalior recorded 38.6 degrees Celsius, Indore 34.1 degrees Celsius, Ujjain 36 degrees Celsius, Jabalpur 35.6 degrees Celsius, Sagar 34.9 degrees Celsius, and Satna 38.8 degrees Celsius. Despite the scattered showers, some areas witnessed temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius. Khargone topped the charts with 42.4 degrees Celsius, followed by Narsinghpur at 41.0 degree Celsius, Nowgong at 40.0 degree Celsius, and Sidhi at 40.2 degree Celsius.
 
In contrast, Malanjkhand was the coldest spot in the state with a maximum temperature of 24.0 degree Celsius and a minimum of 19.6 degree Celsius. The Western Disturbance has brought gusty winds and rain to many districts, including Bhopal and Rajgarh. According to the reports, in Sendhwa, a lightning strike resulted in the tragic death of a 5-year-old child and left a woman injured, currently undergoing treatment at Sendhwa Civil Hospital. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts rain in 17 districts, including Jabalpur and Chhindwara, over the next 24 hours. The weather scientists has predicted light rain accompanied by thunderstorms for the next two days. Clear skies are expected after that, with temperatures rising again from April 25. Cities currently experiencing 40-42 degree Celsius temperatures may see them rise to 42-44 degree Celsius.
 
Nights will remain warm, and humidity will also increase. Roads in Bhopal, including Char Imli, New Market, and MP Nagar, were waterlogged due to the morning showers. Cloudy conditions prevailed throughout the day, with the weather department forecasting similar conditions for the next three days.In the past 24 hours, 51 cities and towns across 21 districts experienced rain, ranging from light to heavy. Notable cities affected include Bhopal, Chhindwara, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Jabalpur, Seoni, Betul, Rajgarh, Katni, Dindori, Vidisha, Narmadapuram, Guna, Badwani, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Dewas, Sagar, Damoh, and Anuppur. The most significant rainfall was observed in Chhindwara’s Tamia and Narmadapuram’s Pachmarhi, with over half an inch of rain.
