City’s Renu Kaur Sidhu is Super Randonneur

City’s veretan athlete Renu Kaur Sidhu added another feather to her cap after she completed 600km Brevet to become Nagpur Super Randonneur, the other day. Renu, who have won several athletics medals in masters category, completed the 600 km brevet organised by Audex India Randonnerus. The 600km SR was to be completed inside 40 hours and Renu reached the finish line in 37 hours and 44 minutes to become the only woman from the city to do so. The ride started from Freedom Park to Betul and return and then from Nagpur to Chandrapur. The rider had to complete the task non-stop.
 
Renu completed the 600 km and then did the 400km Brevet in 26 hours and 8 minutes. She then rode for 300km from Nagpur to Pipalpani and back in 17 hours and 43 mins. For the 200 kms night Brevet, Renu faced challenges with unseasonal rains hampering her speed. But she completed the ride in 10 hours and 32 minutes. Amongst all the17 riders from Nagpur, Renu was the only woman who completed the ride and successfully became a Super Randonneurs.
