State President of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Komal Hupendi announced his decision to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday. Komal Hupendi, officially joined the BJP in a ceremony attended by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. During the event, CM warmly welcomed Hupendi to the BJP by presenting him with the party scarf in the nomination rally of BJP Candidate from Kanker, Bhojraj Nag. Komal Hupendi had contested from the Bhanupratappur state assembly constituency in the previous elections as the AAP candidate. Despite facing tough competition, Hupendi secured an impressive 15,255 votes, showcasing his strong support base and grassroots connect. In a statement following his induction into the BJP, Komal Hupendi expressed his confidence in the leadership and ideology of the BJP.

 

He cited his belief in the BJP’s vision for development and progress as the primary reason for his decision to join the party. Hupendi, along with his supporters, pledged to work tirelessly to ensure the BJP’s victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, particularly in the Kanker Lok Sabha constituency. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the party recognized Hupendi’s dedication and commitment to public service and welcomed him wholeheartedly into the party fold. Komal Hupendi’s decision to join the BJP marks a significant shift in the political landscape of Bastar.
