RIDING on a splendid unbeaten century from opener Satyam Bhoyar, defending champions Dhanwate National College (DNC) thrashed Annasaheb Gundewar College by eight wickets to retain the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) Inter-college Cricket title, the other day. Put into bat, Annasaheb Gundewar College scored 160 for 7 in stipulated 20 overs. For AG College, opener Yash Talmale batted beautifully to score 70 runs from 44 balls with the help of five sixes and four boundaries. Yash was well supported by Devanand Zade who scored fine 58 from 48 balls. Yash and Devanand put on 88 runs for second wicket. For DNC, Om Yadav (2-23), Kaustubh Salve (2-31) and Aryan Meshram (2-25) bowled well to restrict AG College team for 160.
 
DNC achieved the target 15.4 overs. Bhoyar scored an unbeaten 115 from 49 balls and struck 11 sixes and seven fours in his inning. Sai Vedant scored unbeaten 26 runs from 30 balls. Bhoyar and Sai put on 114 runs from 10 overs for unfinished third wicket partnership. The prize distribution function was attended by Dr Bablu Kshirigiriwar, Adv Rajesh Bhoyar and Prof Jayant Jichkar. Hemant Kalmegh, Executive Member of Shivaji Education Society, Dr Omraj Deshmukh, Principal, Dhanwate National College and Dr Devendra Wankhade, HOD, Department of Physical Education congratulated the winning team and lauded the innings of Bhoyar.
