After an argument between Rohit and Nandkishor, the latter threatened him of dire consequences. Around 10.30 pm on Sunday, the accused quartet came in a Ford EcoSport SUV when Rohan and his friends Raj Sudhir Ramteke (19), Anand Yogindranath Pathak (38) were near Mankarwadi ground at Bhavani Nagar. They asked the whereabouts of Rohit. When Rohan told them that he had no idea where his brother had gone, the accused thrashed him. They then took out sharp-edged weapons and repeatedly stabbed Rohan, injuring him seriously. Rohan’s friends went to his house and informed Rohit about the incident.

When Rohit rushed to the spot, the accused quartet fled in the SUV. Rohit rushed Rohan to Mayo Hospital with the assistance of his friends. After examining Rohan, doctors declared him dead.
