RISING Star Football Club continued their wining run in the JSW-NDFA Women’s League Football Tournament with an easy win over Xcite Play Academy at Dr Ambedkar Football Stadium in Suyog Nagar on Monday. In the league encounter, Rising Star blanked Xcite Play 2-0 to earn three points. Shravani Fale put her side ahead in the 21st minute of play and in the second half. Nandini Shahu (44th) doubled the lead. The score remained unchanged at final whistle.

 

In the Kick Flicks Under-13 boys tournament, Unity Football Academy defeated Star Football Academy 3-1. Unity were lucky to take lead through an own goal in the 29th minute through Star Academy’s Imran Khan. Tanush Pal then increased the lead in the 35th minute and Samual Yellmathi (37th) increased the gap two minutes later. For, Star Football Academy, Abdul Rehman reduced the margin in the 39th minute of play.
