Chhattisgarh Congress has demanded Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan to dismiss Home Minister Vijay Sharma from the post of Cabinet Minister after Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma along with BJP leaders and workers allegedly participated in the protest held by the BJP outside Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh legislative assembly Dr Charan Das Mahant’s official residence in State Capital on Wednesday. Talking to mediapersons at state Congress party office Rajiv Bhawan in State Capital on Wednesday, State Congress Media Chief Sushil Anand Shukla claimed that Home Minister Vijay Sharma allegedly protested outside the residence of Leader of Opposition in violation of the constitution.

The Home Minister violated the dignity of the constitutional post. If the Home Minister himself goes to protest, will the police control? In order to get cheap publicity, the Home Minister has violated his oath of office. The Governor should dismiss the Home Minister, he added. Sushil Anand Shukla hit out at the BJP after the BJP had made a written complaint against CLP leader Dr Charan Das Mahant on his controversial statement against Prime Minister Modi during a public meeting in Rajnandgaon on Tuesday. Shukla also raised various allegations against the BJP government at the Centre and said that the BJP failed on all fronts.

The BJP did not fulfil its poll promises including generation of two crore employment for youth, he added. State Congress In-charge General Secretary Malkit Singh Gaindu, State Congress Senior Spokespersons Dhananjay Singh Thakur, Ghanshyam Raju Tiwari, Surendra Verma, Spokespersons Nitin Bhansali, Vandana Rajput, Ajay Gangwani, Satyaprakash Singh, Parvez Ahmad and Rishabh Chandrakar were present in the press conference.
