Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai once again issued a challenge to the Congress leader Dr Charan Das Mahant, daring him to strike him with sticks in Rajnandgaon while addressing public meeting held before the nomination papers filed by BJP Lok Sabha Candidate from Rajnandgaon, Santosh Pandey on Thursday. Chief Minister Sai emphasised that the remarks made by Charan Das Mahant and the Congress about striking Prime Minister Modi with sticks are tantamount to hitting the people of Chhattisgarh. Sai asserted that if the Congress has the courage, they should strike his head with a baton first. He questioned whether it is appropriate for the Congress to speak in such a manner about the Prime Minister, who tirelessly works for the welfare of 140 crore Indians. Sai criticised the Congress for their past derogatory remarks about Prime Minister and vowed that the public would once again give a fitting response to such statements. Highlighting the failures of the previous Congress government led by Bhupesh Baghel, Sai accused Baghel of deceiving the public during his tenure. He pointed out instances of corruption and mismanagement under the Congress rule, including the imposition of taxes and involvement in illicit activities.

Sai contrasted these with the achievements of his own government, which has swiftly fulfilled promises made to the people, such as providing housing for the poor and ensuring fair prices for farmers’ produce. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his dedication to the welfare of the nation, Sai urged the public to support Modi for a third term as Prime Minister. He called for electing Santosh Pandey as the Member of Parliament from Rajnandgaon to ensure BJP’s victory in all 11 seats in Chhattisgarh. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao also criticized the Congress for its abusive language against Prime Minister Modi. He called for the confiscation of the security deposit of the Congress party and urged the public to vote for BJP to uphold national interests. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma condemned the statement made by Dr Charan Das Mahant, asserting that the people of Rajnandgaon would respond strongly in the Lok Sabha elections.

He highlighted the achievements of the BJP government and urged voters to support Santosh Pandey to create history in Rajnandgaon. BJP candidate Santosh Pandey emphasized the need to remember the failures of the Congress government and urged voters to support BJP for a better future. He criticised the Congress for its discriminatory decisions and vowed to represent the interests of all communities in Rajnandgaon. Pandey officially submitted his nomination papers in the presence of Chief Minister Sai, Deputy Chief Ministers Sao and Sharma, and other BJP leaders, signaling the beginning of his campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in Rajnandgaon.
