“Congress created problems in Kashmir and started dividing people post Independence,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday. He launched Lok Sabha poll campaign by addressing the citizens of Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts at Morwa village in Chandrapur on Monday evening. PM Modi compared the Congress to bitter gourd whose taste, he said, would never change even if it is fried in ghee or mixed with sugar, and asserted that the grand old party was the source of all problems in the country. He said that the ensuing Lok Sabha elections were a fight between stability and instability and accused the opposition of seeking power only to indulge in corruption. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Chairman of NCBC Hansraj Ahir, the official candidates of Mahayuti from Chandrapur and Gadchiroli Sudhir Mungantiwar and Ashok Nete, and other MLAs from Chandrapur and Yavatmal districts were present on stage.

PM Modi, in his trademark conversative style, evoked a tremendous response from his listeners when he asked, “Who gave shelter to terrorism and red terrorism (Naxals) in the country?” And, the people replied promptly, “Congress.” “Who opposed Ram Mandir construction and questioned the existence of Lord Ram? Who declined the Ram Mandir’s inauguration invite?” he asked, evoking similar responses. He said, Chandrapur was the only Lok Sabha seat won by Congress in 2019. “The 138-year-old party has lost people’s support due to its deeds and its recently released manifesto has the imprint of the pro-Partition Muslim League,” he maintained. He also said that the wood from Chandrapur was used for construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and new Parliament building in Delhi. “The wrong policies of the then government had stalled development projects in Kashmir. The activities of Naxals at Gadchiroli have declined and now Gadchiroli has turned out to be an iron ore district,” said PM Modi. “The Congress is out of power for 10 years and we have been been able to resolve all problems faced by the country,” he said.

PM Modi further stated that Congress had worked for personal and family interest and not for development of the country. “I.N.D.I.A. bloc had worked on the commission basis. It was single motto of Congress, initially hand over commission to start the development projects otherwise stall the project. ‘Commission Lao Ya Kaam Bandh Karo’. The Congress government had Jalyukt Shibir, Metro work at Mumbai, PM Awas Yojana at Maharashtra. However, the BJP-Shiv Sena Government has relaunched all development projects at Maharashtra after coming into power in Maharashtra. The Shinde-led Government has been developing the State by working 24x7,” lauded PM Modi. “The BJP Government had launched different schemes for the welfare of Dalit and Adivasi community. The credit of development of the country goes to whom?” questioned PM Modi to which the public replied due to Modi. However, PM Modi said that the credit for development India will have to be shared with the general public who cast their vote during the election. PM Modi further asserted the South’s opposition DMK leader compared Sanatan Dharma to dengue and malaria and demanded to create a separate state.

The legendary Shiv Sena leader stepped forward in the genocide of Kashmir Pandits. However, the fake Shiv Sena joined hands with Congress and have been working with them. “I appreciate the work of Shinde government for the development of the State,” said PM Modi. He urged the people to break the earlier records of voting per centage in the district. Earlier, PM Modi wished the public for Gudi Padwa (New year) and Navratri. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in his speech expressed that Bharatiya Janata Party had developed the country in fast pace in the last 10 years of governance as compared to Congress’ 50 years’ rule. Congress has released the manifesto for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections and they (Congress) should have released Mafinama, Shinde taunted. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Ashok Nete expressed their views. The citizens from Chandrapur, Yavatmal and Gadchiroli districts attended the public rally in large numbers.
