Showers of varying velocity continued for the second day in Bhopal and other places of the state on Monday. Rain and storm would continue and its intensity will go up till April 11, says IMD. Since morning, partial cloud cover was there in sky and sun-sheds kept the maximum temperature around normal mark on Monday. Some part of Bhopal namely Kolar recorded heavy rainfall and some areas saw drizzling. Indian Meteorology Department (IMD), Bhopal, said that moisture is coming from Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. The latest trend of weather system support light showers and hail storm in most parts of Madhya Pradesh till April 11. IMD has also released Red, Orange and Yellow alert in various parts of State. Weather scientists said that on April 10, weather system would be stronger that would result into hail storm, speedy wind and rainfall in all parts of state including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur and Rewa.
 
Scientists said that for the first time April cyclonic circulation and Western Disturbance is making strong system for such activities. There will be situation of storm, rain, lightning, thunder and hail storm throughout State. Dr Ved Prakash, IMD Bhopal said cyclonic air is becoming more active and apart from this, another western disturbance is active in Northern part of country. He said in next two days, cyclonic circulation will be stronger that is bringing moisture in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Jharkhand states. Especially the southern part of Madhya Pradesh will be effective with this system. IMD said that after April 11, summer would be coming to its peak with temperature soaring above 40 to 42 degrees Celsius. Weather scientists said that this year extreme heat condition would be prevailing in state during month of April along with rainfall.
 
Weather Department has forecast day temperature to touch 46 or 47 degrees Celsius in Bhind, Morena, Datia and Sheopurkala while Nimari, Panna, Chhattarpur, Tikamgarh, Khargone, Shivpuri to record day temperature around 45 degree Celsius by the end of April.Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 35.8. degrees Celsius, which was at the normal mark while night temperature in the city was 22.0 degree Celsius, a degrees more than normal mark. Maximum temperature over most places in State remained under the 40 degrees mark. Gwalior recorded maximum temperature 37.2 degrees Celsius and minimum 17.6 degrees Celsius. Indore recorded maximum temperature 35.8 degrees Celsius and minimum 22.2 degree Celsius. Ujjain recorded maximum temperature 35.0 degree Celsius and minimum 19.0 degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum temperature 34.6 degrees Celsius and minimum 21.4 degrees Celsius.
