Though Nagpur division bettered its own results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examination, it has to be satisfied with 8th position in Maharashtra State this year among nine divisional boards. Last year, Nagpur division’s HSSC result was 90.35%. This year it registered 92.12%. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education declared results of HSSC on-line on Tuesday. This time, Konkan division stood at first position as usual by scoring 97.51 per cent and this year, Nagpur division has remained at the eighth position like last year among all the divisions. A total of 1,55,374 students appeared in Nagpur division in the HSSC examination. Out of them, 1,43,131 students passed, with 71,046 being boys and 72,085 girls. The number of students failed is 12,243. Around 83,067 students were enrolled in Science stream in Nagpur division. 82,844 students appeared for the examination, out of which 80,425 students have passed and their pass percentage is 96.69 per cent. Of the 17,474 students enrolled in Commerce stream, 17,390 students appeared, of which 15,178 students passed. The pass percentage of Commerce is 87.28. In Arts stream, 50,219 students were enrolled while 49,665 students appeared and 42,769 students passed. Their pass percentage is 86.11. Similarly 4,981 students were enrolled in Vocational course. Out of them, 4,902 students appeared in the examination of those 4,295 students cleared. Their pass percentage is 87.61.
 
While talking to ‘The Hitavada’, Madhuri Savarkar, Chairperson of Nagpur Divisional Board said, “The result of Nagpur Board has improved. This year, 16,000 more students appeared for the examination than last year. Government has taken initiative of Copy-free Board examination. This is reaping the fruits as the number of students involved in the act of copying has reduced. Last year, 22 copycats were caught while this year the number reduced to 19.” There were total 154 subjects of which in Nagpur division students had 130 subjects. In 43 subjects, the pass percentage is 100. Students will get their hardcopy of the marksheets after 7 days, pointed out Chintaman Wanjari, Divisional Secretary of Nagpur Division Board Ravindra Katolkar, Joint Secretary; Kalpana Lande, Assistant Secretary; Rohini Kumbhar, Education Officer (Primary); Dr Ulhas Narad, V K Lokhande were present. After the declaration of results, if students want to apply for retotalling or revaluation, those who want photocopies of answersheets, or those who want migration certificates can get it from http://verification.mh-hsc.ac.in. Students can submit their applications on this website on their own or through their institutions. The conditions and rules for applying are given on the website. Students should apply between May 22 and June 5, 2024 for retotaling, they should submit application to get photocopies of answersheets online. Students don’t have to go physically anywhere.
 
They can pay fees for the facilities online through debit card/credit card/UPI/Net Banking. Students if want to get revaluation done, they have to first procure photocopies of answersheet of that subject. They will apply for revaluation after five days of receipt of photocopies of answersheet. They will have to submit application to their divisional board online. Apart from the results of students, other statistical information about the results will be available on the websites www.mahresult.nic.in and https://msbshse.co.in. Consolidated results will also be available for higher secondary schools/junior colleges on the website www.mahahsscboard.in. Under the Class Improvement Scheme, students clearing HSC examination held on Februray-March 2024 will get two chances. Students who want to appear in examination in July-August 2024 for class improvement and for supplementary will have to start filling form online from May 27, 2024.
