MAKING scathing attack on Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader, Nagpur Lok Sabha Congress candidate Vikas Thakre demanded that his Party High Command should rethink over staying with Mahavikas Aaghadi (MVA). Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MP, in an article in party’s mouthpiece wrote where he remarked that senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worked against its own candidate Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur. Raising strong objections on the remark by Sena leader,Thakre said, “I shall write a letter to our State in-charge Ramesh Chennithala and will apprise Maharashtra State President Nana Patole. I shall demand that our High Command should not only register protest against Shiv Sena but should also rethink of staying with MVA. Sena is constantly praising Gadkari before polls and after also against whom I contested.

Sena leader can talk about other leaders but we will not tolerate if I am dragged into the controversy. If he wants to create rift between two BJP leaders, he is free to do so. I am not a beggar to take logistic support from others while contesting polls.” Extending his support to what Thakre said, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) City President Duneshwar Pethe pointed out, “The way Shiv Sena remarked can’t be taken in a right way. Sena being a constituent of MVA, should have avoided saying such thing. They should have instead supported Gadkari instead of Congress. BJP East Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopde expressed, “Gadkari, Fadnavis along with Bawankule and all the volunteers worked hard in the elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed a public rally in Nagpur district. These things can’t be ignored and such instigating statements should not be given importance.”
